Rentals and Payments

  • What equipment is available for rent?

    We offer a wide range of audio and video equipment including speakers, microphones, lighting and LED screens. To view our inventory, click here.

  • How does the rental process work?

    Browse our inventory and add the items you’d like to rent to your cart. Our availability calendar will update based on which items are in stock. Once you’ve selected all your items, view your cart to see the rate for your rental period and add delivery if needed. Place your order using our secure Stripe platform and you’ll receive an email confirming your order. 

    If picking up, your order will be ready at 967 Mission St, San Francisco at the time you selected. Please arrive within 30 minutes of your selected time.

    If you selected delivery, we will reach out to confirm delivery location and time within 48 hours.

  • Is moving equipment included for pickup orders?

    Moving equipment is NOT included for pick up orders. Please be sure to bring the necessary moving equipment for your will call order.

  • What are the rental rates?

    Pricing can vary based on the type of equipment, duration of the rental, and specific customer needs. We offer clear pricing structures and discounts for longer rental periods & repeat customers​.

  • What is your policy on damage or loss of equipment?

    Customers are responsible for any damages or loss. Your order includes a security deposit is a $250 flat rate fee If items are damaged or lost, a portion of your deposit will be subtracted according to the assessed value.

  • What is your policy for late returns?

    If orders are returned after your selected date, the authorized card will be charged for any additional days, beginning 30 minutes after your selected return time. Late fees will be charged to the card authorized for the order and you will receive an email confirming the charges.

  • Can you handle last-minute requests?

    We are prepared to accommodate last-minute requests based on equipment availability. Additional fees for emergency deliveries may apply.

  • How do I pay for the rental?

    We accept credit card via Stripe’s secure and safe payment platform. When you submit your order, a card authorization will be submitted for the full amount. If for any reason your order cannot proceed or must be modified, the authorization will be removed or adjusted.

  • When is my Deposit returned to me?

    Deposits are returned 3-5 business days after the equipment is returned. The time it takes to refund the money to your credit card varies from bank to bank.  If items are damaged or lost, a portion of your deposit will be subtracted according to the assessed value.


Delivery

  • Is delivery and setup included?

    Customers can choose from on-site delivery or pick up at Kapwa Gardens in San Francisco. Setup is not included in a standard rental but instructional materials and tech support are. 

  • What are your delivery rates?

    Our base rate is $350. If you place a large order (more than 150 lbs of equipment), additional fees may apply. We will contact you to confirm the precise delivery location and explain any additional fees.


Support

  • Do you provide technical support?

    We offer online tech support at kapwatech@kultivatelabs.org. Any inquiries will be responded to within 24 hours. 

  • What happens if I need to cancel or change my booking?

    If your order must be canceled due to an availability issue, your card authorization will be 100% refunded. If you choose to cancel your reservation within 7 days of your pickup/delivery, a 10% charge will be applied. If canceled within 24 hours, a 50% charge will be applied.

  • Do you offer any training or instructions on using the equipment?

    Instructional materials will be provided with the order. Customers who choose to pick up on site can receive basic training and ask any remaining questions during their pick up.

 Our goal is to create a seamless rental experience. Instructional materials will be provided with the order. Customers who choose to pick up on site can receive basic training and ask any remaining questions during their pick up.
